San Francisco, June 6 — Meta has developed an artificial intelligence model called Tribe v2 that can reliably predict how the human brain reacts to visual and auditory content. The system was trained on functional MRI data from four individuals plus brain-activity recordings from more than 700 volunteers.
These volunteers were shown images, videos, and text and listened to podcasts while their neural signals were recorded. Tribe v2 learned to forecast brain activity. The model’s training data included a range of visual and auditory content, allowing it to learn patterns and relationships between different types of stimuli and the corresponding brain activity.
According to Meta, Tribe v2 can even make predictions for languages not included in the original dataset, without additional training.
